Recreation Maintenance Worker

Candler County Recreation Department has an opening for a full-time Recreation Maintenance Worker, Applicant must have experience operating zero turn lawn mower and be ahigh school graduate or equivalent. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to maintaining and repairing ball fields, assist in delivering sports equipment to fields, preparing the strickland Building/Gym for rentals; operating a variety of equipment including lawn mowers, edgers/trimmers and various sports equipment. Must be able to follow oral instructions, and perform other duties as assigned including manual labor. A background check and drug test are required prtior to employment. Normal hours of operation will be 8 AM-5PM, Monday through Friday; hours of operation are subject to fluctuate during ball season and may include evenings and weekends. Beginning salary of $14.50 hourly based on experience3 and willingness to learn.
