TELFAIR COUNTY

Caleb Henderson is a 22-year-old from Telfair County. After graduating high school, Caleb was interested in pursuing a career in wildlife or forestry. With the help of WIOA, Caleb was able to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Through the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Out of School Youth Program, Caleb received help to cover the expenses of books, supplies, and fees. He also received stipends to assist with transportation. Caleb recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management and was hired by the Georgia Forestry Commission as a Forester in Laurens County.

Caleb said, “This program has helped me tremendously while attending college, and because of that, I have just graduated and can now begin my career path.”
